THIRUVANATHAPUARAM: Congress leader VM Sudheeran has said that Kerala society is yet to fully utilise the talents of Cherian Philip.

''He could single-handedly make Kerala Deseeya Vedi a noted movement in Kerala,'' said Sudheeran recalling his long-term association with Cheriyan Philip in Congress.

He was delivering the keynote address at the function held here to inaugurate the website and blog of KTDC Chairman Cherian Philip on Saturday.

Sudheeran noted that Cherian has the unique quality of keeping the warmth in personal relations even when he criticise anyone for his policies.

''I still remember the boy who actively coordinated a KSU camp decades ago at Kolencherry,'' said Sudheeran.

CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, who inagurated the website, said Cherian had made a mark of excellence in all fields he worked ever since his student days.

Poet ONV Kurup and writer George Onakkoor spoke. The website www.cherianphilip.org will feature articles on Cherian Philip on a weekly basis. There is option for readers to post their comment on Cherian Philip's views. The first article deals with the politics of Onam. Cherian argues that the people of Kerala should celebrate not Onam but Pongal as everything for the celebration comes from Tamil Nadu.
