Latheen Katholika Vedi’s silver jubilee

The Latheen Katholika Aikya Vedi will be celebrating its silver jubilee on December 1. Health Minister V S Sivakumar will inaugurate the three-day celebrations.
As part of the celebrations, various programmes have been charted out, including an all-religion meet, medical camps and sports and arts competitions. Former Education Minister M A Baby will inaugurate the all-religion meet on December 2 in which Jameela Prakasam MLA, P H Abdul Gafar Maulavi, M L Unnikrishnan Ilayath and Richard Decruz will be present.
A procession will be taken out at Shangumugham on December 2. The same day, sports and arts competitions will be held. A public meeting will be inaugurated by Mayor K Chandrika. Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, K Muraleedharan MLA, KTDC chairman Vijayan Thomas, A Sampath MP and former Minister V Surendran Pillai will also address the meeting.
Jacobite Church head Baselios Thomas I will inaugurate the ‘Dalit Sangamam’ on December 3 at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium. Union Ministers K V Thomas and G K Vasan and former minister E T Mohammed Basheer will be present, among others. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the valedictory function. Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb will give away the educational awards. Excise Minister K Babu will inaugurate the organ donation campaign at the function.
Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob, Mayor Chandrika, former ministers N K Premachandran and M Vijayakumar and Hibi Eden MLA will be present.
