Walking gods, excited dancers and dancing drummers. “Unusual” became not so unusual on Tuesday with the city being flooded with colours and music on the final day of Ganeshotsav celebrations.
The massive procession and cultural meet organised by the Ganeshotsav Trust stunned the city with a variety of floats and art forms.
The procession and immersion of over a hundred idols of Lord Ganesha marked the end of the ten-day-long celebrations. Starting from the Pazhavangadi Maha Ganapathy Temple, the procession proceeded through Statue Junction, Palayam, Pettah and Chackai to conclude at Shangumugham beach, where the adorned Ganesh idols were immersed in the sea.
