THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural organisation of Technopark employees, has announced the second edition of its creative writing contest in English and Malayalam for poetry, short story and essay titled ‘Srishti 2015’.
The contest is open to all Technopark employees. An eminent panel of judges will evaluate the entries. The entry should be an original work in the form of a poem, short story or essay and can be in either English or Malayalam.
Only one entry per category can be submitted by an individual. All entries which are eligible for judgment will be listed out in the website after September 30 and readers will be given the privilege to vote for the best.
The entries should be in Unicode format. The maximum length for each category is poetry- 60 lines, short story- 4,000 words and essay-3,000 words.
The topic of the essay in both English and Malayalam is ‘Twenty Five Years of Technopark- Hopes And Concerns of Employees’. Stories and poems can be on any theme.
An entry must have a title, participant’s full name, company name, mobile number and email address. The last date for submission of entries is September 30.
Winning entries will be notified via phone and email by middle of October 2015 by the Prathidhwani team. The winners will be invited to attend the award ceremony which will be conducted by the end of October.
Prizes will be given for 1st and 2nd positions in each category and language. Along with the jury prizes, entries that are voted best by the online readers will also be awarded.
