THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Highway Development Action Council, which met here the other day, demanded the immediate disbursal of the compensation fixed by the district-level purchase committee for land acquisition on the Pravachambalam-Vazhimukku stretch of the Karamana-Kaliyikkavila National Highway.
The action council stated that majority of the landowners have given their consent letters after approving the amount. The demands of the council include preparation of the alignment for the development of Balaramapuram Junction, stopping of encroachments in the areas and providing maximum damages to land owners at Balaramapuram Jn.
