Prize Distribution of Social Reality Show

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The prize distribution ceremony of the social reality show ‘Ini Njangal Parayam’, being hosted by the Kudumbashree Mission, in association with Doordarshan, will be performed by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Social Justice Minister M K Muneer at a programme to be held at the Co-Bank Tower auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.

The Community Development Society emerging first will get `1 crore.

The second prize winner will get `30 lakh and the third prize winner, `20 lakh. A special jury award of `50 lakh will be presented to a CDS that comes up with the best idea for sustainable development.

The 13 CDSes in the final round will get `5 lakh each.

Devpt Activities

The award money is for implementing innovative development activities and to speed up the existing development activities through Kudumbashree in the respective panchayats.

The show began in Doordarshan on March 19, 2014. It was conducted for identifying the best Community Development Societies in the state.
