THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI will observe the second death anniversary of party stalwart Veliyam Bhargavan on September 18. At a time when the LDF is treading the path of new struggles, the memories of Veliyam Bhargavn would be an inspiration for Left unity, said CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran.
In a statement issued, Kanam said Veliyam was one of the most prominent personalities who made a mark in the state’s political landscape for a very long time. A leader who always stood with the party’s decisions, he had always defended the party stand, he said.
