Installation Day Rituals Inaugurated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Aswathi Thirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bayi inaugurated the rituals on the eighth installation day of the marble deity at the Shirdi Sai Mandir in Sai Gramam, Thonnakkal here on Monday.

Earlier, BJP national executive committee member P K Krishnadas had inaugurated the anniversary celebrations.

During the function, Vaidyanathan was presented with the Sai Gramam Veda Pandita Award while singer Shailendra Bharti was also honoured. Musician Omanakutty Teacher, Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust vice-chairman K Gopakumaran Nair, Sunil G Nair and Ajil Manimuthu were among those who were present during the occasion.

The temple was built for Sai Baba of Shirdi by the Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust- Kerala in 2007 and attracts devotees from all over the country on a daily basis. Every year, the rituals during the installation day is held under the stewardship of the main priest of Shirdi.

Apart from this, various cultural programmes are also held as part of the installation anniversary featuring well-known artists.
