The Museum Police have begun tracing the culprit who allegedly looted Rs 70 lakh from the office of a prominent builder in the city at Vellayambalam.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Museum Police have begun tracing the culprit who allegedly looted Rs 70 lakh from the office of a prominent builder in the city at Vellayambalam.

The police registered a case based on a complaint lodged by Chandrababu of Kilimanoor who owns Sree Dhanya Constructions (P)Ltd.

According to the police, the culprit was identified and a police team was on the field to catch him. A source said a police team had already reached Idukki following a tip-off he was spotted near Thodupuzha.

The accused was identified through the CCTV footage obtained from the office at Vellayambalam.
