THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KSFL - Tenvic Sports Coaching Academy functioning at The Sports Hub in Kariavattom have added badminton, basketball, table tennis and chess to its curriculum.
The academy functioning around the Greenfield Stadium already offers training in cricket, football, and swimming.
The academy will also conduct a summer camp from April 3 to May 31 for students in various sports. The program has been planned in such a way that the students are exposed to a well-designed curriculum. They are coached by certified coaches and experience the international facilities at the stadium.
Apart from coaching, the youngsters will also get an opportunity to participate in team building activities and special events conducted by specialists. Trainees of the academy are monitored on a regular basis and have access to the online monitoring system.
Swimmer’s Club for Public
The Sports Hub has also thrown open its swimming pool complex to the public with membership currently offered on a monthly basis. KSFL will also be offering annual memberships soon. The Swimmer’s Club will stimulate social interaction in addition to promising a healthy life. Services of a coach are also available if the participants wish to avail it for a fee.
The Club will have Olympic size swimming pool, locker rooms, and vehicle parking and will be open from Tuesday to Sunday. Badminton and table tennis facilities will also be availed from April, KSFL said.
