THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The third national Biodiversity Congress will conclude here on Sunday. The highlight of the last day’s programme will be the Haritha Sangamam attended by traditional farmers, conservationists and voluntary organisations in the biodiversity sector. Poet Sugathakumari will inaugurate the Haritha Sangamam. State Planning Board agri division chairman P Rajasekharan will preside over the meeting.
State Biodiversity Board senior project consultant S Rajasekharan will speak on the topic ‘Native knowledge on biodiversity and its conservation and application.’ Thanal chief coordinator C Jayakuamr will speak on the topic ‘the development prospects based on biodiversity.’
An open forum also will be held as part of the meet. Tourism Minister Kdakampally Surendran and Agriculture Minister V S Sunil Kumar will inaugurate the valedictory function.
