THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ‘Ente Maram, Ente Jeevan’ (My Tree, My Life) programme of Asianet News has entered the Guinness Book of World Records.
As many as 4,620 people hugged trees at the same time at Palode Tropical Botanical Garden on World Forest Day on Tuesday. This enabled the programme conceived by the news channel to enter the record books. Justice P Sathasivam was the chief guest of the event. Forest Minister K Raju, state police chief Loknath Behera, MLAs D K Murali, K S Sabarinadhan and district panchayat president V K Madhu were also present.
