THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prathidwani Qisa Film Festival 2017 (PQFF), the prestigious film festival held at Technopark to showcase the talents of IT employees in the state, is inviting entries. The running time of the film should be between 2 to 45 minutes. Films that have participated in the previous Qisa festivals will not be considered. It is mandatory that the director and the scriptwriter should be an employee of an IT company in the state.

The short film festival, which is stepping into its 6th edition is conducted by Prathidwani, the Socio-Cultural & Welfare Organization of IT Employees. The jury consists of national-state award winners Siddartha Shiva, Vidhu Vincent and the acclaimed film critic M F Thomas as the chairman. The last date for submitting the entries is November 25, 2017. Selected films will be screened on December 2, 2017 at Travancore Hall, Technopark.

Along with mementos, a cash award of Rs 11,111 awaits the inner of the best film and Rs 5,555 each for the second best film, best script & best director respectively. Best performer (male/female), cinematographer and editor will also receive special awards. There will be a film review competition along with the festival.

125 short films by the techies have been premiered at Prathidhwani’s Qisa festivals until now. The winners received awards from the well known personalities in the film industry like  Shaji N Karun (2012), Vineeth Srinivasan (2013), Adoor Gopalakrishnan (2014),  Shyamaprasad (2015) and Jayaraj (2016) in previous years.
