THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shashi Tharoor MP on Saturday wrote to Transport Minister A K Saseendran to restore the allotted KSRTC bus services to Technopark to enable a hassle-free transportation for the techies. In his letter, Tharoor pointed out four things which need to be addressed on a war-footing. He requested the minister to intervene in bringing bus connectivity to Kazhakoottam railway station so the techies who arrive at the station can reach the IT park and other places very easily.
Tharoor clearly asked for a bus service for Vanchinad Express train to Technopark as more passengers are arriving here in that train. The next priority was to enable the bus services to the park from Thampanoor via Palayam-Bypass and Infosys.
Tharoor also requested a bus service from Vattiyoorkavu to Technopark and services to KINFRA park via bypass and NH to Kazhakoottam. He also raised apprehensions the sudden decline in bus services affected the techies by and large. He has also emphasised the need for systematic and additional operation of services to Technopark.
