THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:What are the thoughts that would cloud your mind at the threshold of your death? Would you regret the decisions you made and wish you could start over for not having lived a full life? Would you hold on to dear life or would you happily make the transition?
The movie, ‘Dehandaram’, has death and life as its dominant themes whilst exploring the changing dynamics in family relationships in current society. Directed by Ashad Sivaraman and produced by P Muraleedharan, the movie scripted by Shyam Krishna strings together the tale of an old, bedridden man who tries to hang on to his life even as death beckons.
The mental agonies and exasperations of the man who repents for not having lived a full life are set against the selfish desires of the man’s children who wish the death of their father. The movie whilst exploring the underlying dynamics of the family asks several pertinent, poignant questions. The movie has veteran actor Raghavan, Alencier Ley Lopez, theatre artist Amal Rajdev and Parvathi Somnath donning the main roles. The debut movie by Ashad Sivaraman will be screened at Ariesplex this
