Soura Project: Kerala State Electricity Board investors' meet;  200 MW solar power on the cards

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Around 100 investors on Friday attended the investors’ meet organised by the KSEB in connection with the Soura Project here.

The investors’ meet organised as part of the Soura Project of the Oorja Mission aims to generate 200 MW solar power through ground-mounted solar projects. The landowners wishing to set up solar power projects, potential investors and technology experts who attended the meeting explored ways to make collaboration in power generation.

In the first phase, the entrepreneurs will get a chance to buy the power through reverse bidding.
The entrepreneurs will have to take part in the online bidding process to be held by the Centre. All the collaborative with prescribed eligibility will get equal opportunity to take part in the bidding.

Through this, a unit of power is expected to be given below the set rate of Rs 3.50. The tendering process will begin by August and the meet has also decided to address the issues raised by the collaborative.
Representatives of companies like Hindustan Petroleum, Cochin International Airport Ltd,  Mytrah Energy, Solgen, Bosch and Vikram Solar attended the meet, which was inaugurated by Electricity Minister M M Mani.
