THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:We often look up to cops in movies. Their dialogues and stunts come to our mind even if we watch them just once. "The role of a cop suits you." This is what Kishor Kumar K S, an employee of a Technopark company was used to hearing from the people. This made him pursue his passion in acting and the silver screen is now gifting him with a slew of cop roles. He has already acted in several Malayalam and Tamil films, where he mostly plays the role of sub-inspector.

Kishor who hails from Kaniyapuram began his acting stint by doing small roles in theatre workshops. "In 2015, I did my first movie 'Inspector Vikram' where I donned the role of a cop," he says. "The best thing about the film was that no script was given to me. I was able to act naturally as I did not have to learn my dialogues."

This kickstarted his movie career. He was passionate about acting for a long time. So when people commented on his cop look, he decided to give it a try. In 2013, he played the lead roles in two short films.

He made his big-screen entry, in 2015, with two Tamil films 'Nooru Kodi Kanavukal' and 'Ithu Thanda Chennai'. He dons the lead negative role in the film 'Inspector Vikram', which will be released soon. "Working in Tollywood was a great experience," he says. "I did not have a problem with the language. I learnt the language quickly as I used to watch Tamil movies.” In the film 'Ithu Thanda Chennai', Kishor had a small role, but it was his first film in Tollywood.

His role in Malayalam film 'Viragam', released in 2017, proved his mettle as an actor. He is part of the film 'Viplavam' which won the world record for the longest movie taken in a single shot. He played a cop in this film too and appears in different parts of the film. The post-production works of 'Viplavam' is completed and the audio was launched the other day. The film will be released in mid-July.

Kishor has also been the associate director of the short film 'Farewell at Gateway number 6' which won an award in Qisa Film Festival of Technopark. Presently, he working on an upcoming film 'Assault' in Tamil. The script has already been written for the film. He says, “I am keen on acting in more films to come, be it Mollywood or Tollywood. If it's a cop role, I will surely look forward to it.”
