THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP spokesman M S Kumar has said pseudo believers belonging to the CPM are trying to capture Sabarimala temple. He was speaking to reporters here on Saturday. The BJP leader said the CPM  is trying to deploy its squads at the hill shrine to turn the state into a battle zone.

“The government is trying hard to allow at least one woman to enter Sabarimala. The Kerala Police are not able to do their job properly,” Kumar said and added “the state police failed to trace Jesna, who is missing from Kottayam for the past several months, ATMs are being looted and the police are in the dark but around 200 policemen were seen escorting women activists to the hill shrine with full security.”

The Union Home Ministry report had sent a report to the CMO to maintain high security in Sabarimala in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict allowing women’s entry to the temple. The report had stated there were possibilities of woman activists with hardcore Left leanings trying to infiltrate into Sabarimala temple.

This was a highly confidential report which should have been kept secret by the state Home Department.
But the CMO released it to make it appear that the Centre had directed the state government to provide security to women who arrive at Sabarimala on the basis of the Supreme Court order, the BJP leader said.
