Out of 1,359 candidates, 902 appear for APPSC Mains from Krishna district

APPSC Group 1 Mains examination went on peacefully across the State on Thursday. A total of 3,900 candidates who qualified the prelims applied for the main examination.

VIJAYAWADA: APPSC Group 1 Mains examination went on peacefully across the State on Thursday. A total of 3,900 candidates who qualified the prelims applied for the main examination. On Thursday, General English examination was held where candidates need to score at least 40 per cent in General English.On Thursday, out of 3,900 candidates, only 60 per cent of the total appeared for the examination. In Krishna district alone, out of 1,359 candidates, only 902 appeared for General English examination. 
The exam was conducted at 11 centres in four cities across the State. The examinations would continue till August 28, where candidates are to appear for total five papers.

Speaking to Express, APPSC Chairman, P Uday Bhasker said, “The examination took off peacefully without any cases of malpractice or late coming. We have made all arrangements and strict invigilation is also being done at all the centres. For the coming examinations, we are hoping that the same will continue.”
