TDP’s promise: 10,000 jobs in Mangalagiri IT Park

VIJAYAWADA:  Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for Akshara IT company and KJ Systems in Mangalagiri IT Park in the capital region of Amaravati on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh said that about 10,000 IT jobs would be generated in Amaravati IT Park.

Recalling that it took 23 years to create 4 lakh jobs in IT sector in Hyderabad, he said that as a result of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu giving special attention towards IT sector, the AP government has kept a big target to generate one lakh jobs in IT sector in two years. The government is marching ahead towards realising the same. “Out of the 10 mobiles produced in India, two are from AP,” he said, adding that the State government has kept a target to increase the number to five by 2019.
