VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister and Endowments Minister KE Krishna Murthy warned of action against the officials of Kanaka Durga temple if they failed to provide necessary facilities for devotees.

Krishna Murthy on Monday convened a meeting with temple executive officer M Padma and discussed the measures to be taken in providing facilities to devotees.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy CM instructed Padma to ensure hassle-free darshan for people by arranging additional queue lines in the temple. He directed the authorities to serve ‘Anna Prasadam’ to devotees at the tables instead of through buffet and asked them to procure enough number of plates and drinking water glasses.

Officials were also asked to come up with proposals for construction of a modern kitchen to provide quality food to devotees and ensure hygienic atmosphere in the kitchen and dining hall.
Additional security personnel would be also deployed near the dining hall to avoid jostling during the weekends and festival days, he said.
