VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) will organise annual summer coaching camp for school students from May 1.In a meeting held on Tuesday, Mayor Koneru Sreedhar called upon physical education teachers to come up with proposals for procuring necessary sports equipment for the summer camp. He instructed the officials to provide milk, fruits and eggs to the students during the summer camp.
The summer camp will be free for students of municipal schools. However, nominal fee will be collected from students from other schools. Children aged between 6 and 16 years are eligible to participate in the summer camp. Sreedhar also urged students to make best use of the opportunity.
Students can avail the application forms until April 30 at Dandamudi Rajagopal Rao Indoor Stadium (shuttle, badminton), Sir Vizz swimming pool in Gandhi Nagar (swimming) and Dr KL Rao Swimming Pool at KL Rao Nagar (swimming).
