CM N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurates Vijayawada's first 5-star hotel

Located in the heart of the city, the hotel is a 45-minute ride from Gannavaram International Airport and a 20-minute ride from Vijayawada Railway Station.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the first 5-star hotel in city — Novotel Vijayawada Varun — on Sunday. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel is a 45-minute ride from Gannavaram International Airport and a 20-minute ride from Vijayawada Railway Station.

At the inauguration ceremony, a Kuchipudi dance performance and a fashion show were also held. AccorHotels, India & South Asia, Chief Operating Officer Jean-Michel Cassé said, “We have opened the firm’s 20th Novotel in India jointly with our partner, The Varun Group. Opening the 49th AccorHotels’ hotel in India is an example of our fast-growing network in the country. The firm’s vision for Novotel Vijayawada Varun is to be a catalyst in the city’s growth.”  It is the first hotel in Vijayawada to have a walking track. The walking track is 202 metre long.

Varun Group chairperson V Prabhu Kishore said, “The Group forayed in the hospitality sector in 2009 and since then has been associated with AccorHotels. We now have three operational hotels, including the Novotel Vijayawada Varun. The Vijayawada project is to gain the first mover advantage in this city that has immense potential of commercial and leisure demand. I congratulate the  hotel’s team on the opening.”
