HYDERABAD: The TDP MPs are likely to stall the proceedings of the winter session of Parliament commencing from Tuesday if the ruling NDA does not give them a chance to raise the issues concerning the State as well as nation. “We will not hesitate to stall the proceedings of Parliament if the treasury benches do not give us an opportunity to raise our voice,” TDP MP Galla Jaydev said after the party’s Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi on Monday.

TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who went to Delhi for attending the non-BJP parties’ meet, went into a huddle with his party MPs and gave necessary instructions to them to be followed during the winter session.

The TDP chief directed the party MPs to raise the issues pertaining to the State, particularly the alleged delay in the implementation of provisions of the AP  Reorganisation Act. Naidu also asked his MPs to maintain better coordination with the non-NDA parties and raise to the occasion when national issues are raised in both the Houses of Parliament.

Galla Jayadev asserted that the Centre cannot go unilateral in the House and it will have to allow chance to the Opposition parties to raise issues concerning general public. “Unlike last session, the entire opposition came on a single platform this time. We will expose the failures of the Centre on various issues and will confront it over the betrayal to the people of the AP,” he asserted.

YSRC to raise Jagan attack
YSRC MP V Vijay Sai Reddy, who attended the all-party meet held by Centre, said the party would raise the issues of special category status to AP, the attack of YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the subsequent attempts made by the State to dilute the case.
