Chinese firm to construct film theatres in Andhra Pradesh

Speaking on the occasion, the APFDC chairperson said Andhra Pradesh has a vast potential for film production and was peppered with rich heritage sites and natural tourist spots.

VIJAYAWADA: A 11-member delegation from China called on Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation (APFDC) chairperson Ambica Krishna here on Friday.The delegation expressed interest to invest in construction of film theatres in Andhra Pradesh.This apart, the delegation discussed on suitable heritage spots for film shooting and exchange of views and cooperation in film production between India and China.The China delegation, led by film-maker and producer Zhang Zhongmou Ninka, sought mutual cooperation for promotion of arts, culture, film, tourism and culture through films.

Speaking on the occasion, the APFDC chairperson said Andhra Pradesh has a vast potential for film production and was peppered with rich heritage sites and natural tourist spots.He asked the delegation to come out with an action plan focussing on their interest of working within two months. He said the APFDC is ready to cooperate in exchange of film production and construction of theatres in the State.

APFDC Managing Director S Venkateswar informed about the opportunities available for exchange of cooperation in tourism and film production in the State.The delegation members visited Amaravati and heaped praise on the efforts of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
