Till date, it is being run in a single building on a 2.5 acre land. Our demand from the government is to allocate to us 150 acres in Amaravati and establish the university research section. We have also submitted a DPR to the CRDA  and asked them to allocate 133 acres in Amaravati.”

The convener of the Forum, VV Narayana, said, “Today, we have given a notice of indefinite strike to the Registrar. Some people’s representatives, political parties and other organisations are supporting us.”
The registrar, S Appalanaidu, acknowledged the receipt of this notice on behalf of the vice-chancellor, who is currently out of station. He said a representation would be sent to the state government when the vice-chancellor joins office.
