Budget will focus on people’s welfare: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu

VIJAYAWADA: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu suggested that officials introduce new schemes in the upcoming Budget prioritising the welfare of the public.During a meeting with officials at his residence here on Friday, Yanamala underscored the need for giving importance to agriculture, education, women, youth and rural development. Expressing satisfaction over the growth rate of the agriculture sector, the Minister opined that steps should be taken to ensure similar success in industry and service sectors. The Minister said the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) himself estimated `16,000 crore as the state’s revenue deficit. He said earnings through the Forest Department had decreased this time.
