VIJAYAWADA: AICC general secretary and Andhra Pradesh in-charge Oommen Chandy will tour different districts of the State starting from July 9 and interact with party cadre in the respective districts.
According to a press release, in the first phase of his tour, which will be from July 9 to 12, he will visit Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, and Nellore districts.
In the second phase, which will be from July 16 to 19, he will visit Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam rural, Visakhapatnam city. In the third phase, which will commence on July 23 and continue till 26, he will visit Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa, and Chittoor districts.
The final phase of his State tour will be for two days from July 30 and he will cover East and West Godavari districts. Chandy held a detailed discussion about his State tour with APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy and other senior leaders in Hyderabad a couple of days ago.
According to Raghuveera Reddy, the AICC general secretary wants to interact with party leaders in all 175 Assembly constituencies in the State. He wants to assess the ground-level situation. Already, Chandy, on behalf of AICC president Rahul Gandhi, gave a call to all those leaders who have left the Congress to return to the party.
