Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu explained the efforts of the State government to make Amaravati one among the top five sustainable cities in the world.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu explained the efforts of the State government to make Amaravati one among the top five sustainable cities in the world.

He said that 66 per cent of the world population will be in urban areas by 2050, and stressed on the need to create livable and sustainable cities.

Naidu held a meeting with Singapore’s Minister of National Development, Lawrence Wong, and elaborated on the immense investment potential of Amaravati. Naidu explained how the government was able to acquire land through a unique model -- Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) -- with an inclusive approach.
