VIJAYAWADA: Sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted surprise checks in Ibrahimpatnam on Wednesday and seized two lorries that were transporting ganja to Hyderabad from Visakhapatnam Agency areas. Three persons were arrested during the raid and seized ganja is said to be worth around `1.5 crore.
According to Ibrahimpatnam police, the NCB officials had information about the vehicle and acted on it. Meanwhile, a senior police official said the NCB officials earlier tried to stop the vehicles in Rajamahendravaram. However, they managed to escape, but were later caught.
