VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will start his second leg of Porata Yatra in Visakhapatnam district from June 26. Pawan Kalyan set off on his Porata Yatra from Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district last month, but gave a break ahead of Ramzan to facilitate his staff belonging to Muslim community celebrate the festival.
Simultaneously, Pawan Kalyan, who was being troubled by a minor eye ailment for the past few days, wanted to undergo a minor surgery during the Porata Yatra break.
Though the surgery was initially scheduled on June 24 by the doctors at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, after performing some tests recently, they advised Pawan Kalyan to wait for some more days for undergoing the surgery.
“With the delay in the surgery, Pawan Kalyan had decided to re-start the Porata Yatra,’’ Jana Sena vice-president B Mahender Reddy said in a press release on Wednesday.
Apart from touring all the Assembly constituencies in the district, Pawan Kalyan will also hold a meeting with intellectuals hailing from north Andhra region. After completing the yatra in Visakhapatnam, Pawan Kalyan will tour East Godavari district.
