VIJAYAWADA:  Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy has alleged that BJP, YSRC and Jana Sena are hatching a political conspiracy against the State government by propagating baseless news against Tirumala temple. He particularly took a dig at Jana Sena chief and film star Pawan Kalyan, who he said is believing and spreading the false news without verifying the facts. “Opposition parties are resorting to mudslinging on the government,’’ he said.

Speaking to mediapersons at the Interim Government Complex in Velagapudi on Friday, he said that it is unfortunate that Pawan Kalyan is speaking in support of those trying to damage the reputation of Tirumala temple. Going by his tweets related to Tirumala temple issue, the Jana Sena chief appeared to be supporting the conspiracy of the BJP and YSRC.

He sought to know why Pawan Kalyan, who mentioned that he was informed by a senior IPS officer about the missing jewels in Tirumala temple during the regime of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, failed to bring the same to the notice of the government. The Deputy Chief Minister wanted Pawan Kalyan to disclose the name of the senior official.

Stating that the statements of TTD former chief priest AV Ramana Deekshitulu sans credibility, he said while the saffron party hatched the conspiracy on Tirumala temple after the TDP exiting the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, YSRC and Jana Sena became part of conspiracy and the same became clear after Deekshitulu called on BJP chief Amit Shah and YSRC president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Asserting that the government is having records of the temple jewellery since 1952 and is ready to make the records available to people if needed, he claimed that system in the TTD strengthened more in the TDP ruling. On the occasion, Krishnamurthy also demanded an explanation from Deekshitulu for organising a press conference in Hyderabad along with Anil Borugadda, a non-Hindu and is accused in several cases.
