VIJAYAWADA:  “IN spite of various schemes available for women, the problems of women in India remain as it is, when compared to the situation in other countries; most of the successful entrepreneurs are women in foreign countries,” said Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) president, A Subhashini. She was addressing the workshop ‘WoMentor-2018’ here, at the PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College auditorium in city on Friday.

The workshop that aimed at creating awareness on ‘waste management and menstrual hygiene’ was organised by COWE and Vijayawada Entrepreneurs Association. Gadde Anuradha, Krishna ZP chairperson, took part in the event as a chief guest. Addressing the gathering, Anuradha said that girl children and women should take care of their health issues and stay healthy for building a healthy society. “Women should come forward and develop the knowledge to reuse waste material as a part of SwacchAndhra initiative and should also explore ways to generate employment in that way. Nothing is ‘waste’ in this planet, if we can use it wisely,” she said.
