VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu told his party MLAs and ministers to work with an intention to win the next elections so that they can occupy new buildings being constructed for them in the capital city Amaravati. He told them that the new quarters would be ready by December this year.

The MLAs, MLCs and ministers met the Chief Minster at the Assembly committee hall on Friday, where they were shown the designs of the MLA quarters, assembly and secretariat buildings. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, “You all should work with the will to enter the new buildings. This will happen only if we get people’s mandate in the upcoming elections. If people are satisfied with your work, we all will have our upcoming assembly sessions in the new buildings.”

He further told the public representatives that their quarters would have all the modern amenities including clubhouse, swimming pool and gym. He also said that visitors’ lounge would be available in every quarter so that the MLAs and MLCs can meet the public.

The public representatives expressed satisfaction over the designs. With the Assembly election not far away, Naidu also asked his party men to take to the public the welfare and the development work done by the State government so far. “You all must collectively work to take the government schemes to the public. Companies such as Isuzu, Kia and Hero are investing in the state and these are good signs for us”, he said.
