Organic produce stall at Swaraj Maidan rythu bazaar reopens

During his visit, he directed the officials to put more stock of organic vegetables and fruits and make them available for the public.

VIJAYAWADA: Responding to an article published in TNIE on November 11, 2018 about the closure of the organic stall at Swaraj Maidan rythu bazaar just a day after its inauguration, Krishna District Collector B Lakshmikantham made a visit to the market and instructed officials concerned to maintain continuity in supply of organic fruits and vegetables at the stall.

The stall at the farmers’ market, which was inaugurated by the District Collector on November 6, shut a day after its inauguration. In this regard, he instructed to open it on Sunday and inspected it.

During his visit, he directed the officials to put more stock of organic vegetables and fruits and make them available for the public.

“Using organic vegetables will improve people’s health.  Even farmers can earn more profit with the help of organic farming as the crops will survive drought-like conditions and pests. We are aiming to encourage zero budget natural farming method in the district, Lakshmikantham said.
