'AgriGold Group' agent dies unable to withstand customer pressure

VIJAYAWADA:  With media reports stating that Haailand Resorts and Theme Park located at Chinna Kakani village of Guntur district do not belong to the scam-hit AgriGold Group, a reportedly ‘depressed’ 35-year-old agent of the firm died of cardiac arrest in Narasingapalem village of Agiripalli mandal on Friday night.

According to Agiripalli police, the deceased identified as Madapati Joji Kumari (35) worked as an agent for the AgriGold Group in the village. She was allegedly upset unable to withstand the mounting pressure of the customers following delay in auctioning of the AgriGold Group’s assets. 

On Friday, she went through some media reports that said that the Haailand Resorts in Chinna Kakani did not belong to the group and was distressed over the delay in auctioning process. “Due to depression, she suffered sa cardiac arrest and succumbed, while on the way to hospital,” family members told the police. On Saturday, family members and AgriGold customers in the village met Nuzvid MLA and requested him to do justice to Kumari’s death.
