VIJAYAWADA: To regulate increasing vehicular traffic in the city, the traffic department introduced five customised motorcycles for cops on duty on Tuesday. As part of a pilot project, police in association with Suzuki Motorcycles customised the patrolling motorcycles in such a way that the traffic cop can carry public address system (mic and amplifier), emergency light, control box, power bank and first-aid kit. “The motorcycles will be distributed to five police stations. The police on duty will conduct patrolling in their respective police station limits,” said CP Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.
