NAAC holds global summit

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), organised “Global Summit on Quality Higher Education: Sharing Values and Fostering Trust Beyond Borders” at Bengaluru. Over 120 delegates including 23 representatives of about 20 countries attended this global summit. This global event also marked celebration of 23rd Foundation Day of NAAC.

NIIT unveils new course

NIIT, unveiled a cutting edge program on Mastering Angular 2 to be delivered through the Training.com, a learning platform. Angular 2, recently unveiled by Google, is a complete rewrite of the Angular framework that would enable higher productivity in building modern web applications with dynamic improvement in performance and responsiveness.

TFI fellowship  applications open

Teach for India, an NGO which is a part of the global Teach for All network, is accepting applications for its 2017-19 fellowship program. Each year, graduates and young professionals are selected and the fellows commit full-time for two years to teach underprivileged children.

KIIT College opens School for Under-privileged Girls

KIIT  College Gurgaon has come up with its new School KIIT India Vision School(KIVS) at Bhondsi village  for underprivileged  girls education under the banner of Beti padhao Beti bachao. It will provide free education to girls. The school will work for imparting education to the girls children of downtrodden, deprived, underprivileged, economically weaker sections, especially for laborers working in unorganized sector of Gurgaon.  Initially it would cater to students of  Class I to V.  

Career Power to provide PET training

In its continued efforts to help students shape their career, Career Powerhas joined hands with the government to conduct pre-recruitment training (PET) to candidates of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and Other Backward Classes in the country. Career Power is holding a six-day long training programme, from October 3-8 in two four-hour long batches for candidates preparing for the upcoming clerk/PO exams. Around 7,895 SC/ST/PWD/OBC students from different cities will receive an intensive training and rigorous academic coaching during the competitive exams. The training has already begun in a few centres such as New Delhi, Bhopal and Maharashtra.
