Raees

When the Badshah of Bollywood, with his latest kohl-eyed look, takes on the role of a Mafia don, it is sure to be a hit in the theatres. Ever since the release of the teaser in 2015, fans have been on their toes for the release date. The film, being directed by the National Award-winning director Rahul Dholakia, also raised expectations. The film also has the rugged-looking new star of Bollywood, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, playing a very important role. The film’s cinematographer is K U Mohanan, who was behind the camera for Don, Talaash, Fukrey and many other flicks. Definitely a must watch

Jagga Jasoos

The musical detective story starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif directed by Anurag Basu is also hitting theaters in 2017. Anurag Basu’s earlier film Barfi was quite an experience for the Indian audience with its cartoonish characters and picturesque cinematography. Even though there were many people questioning the originality of the script, the making of the film and the performances were a notch above the rest. The soon-to-be-released Jagga Jasoos is a musical like Les Miserables and is an experiment in the Indian film industry

Veeram

Directed by Malayali film-maker Jayaraj, Veeram is all set to win the audience’s heart. The film is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth in an Indian scenario. Bollywood’s very own action khiladi Akshay Kumar is the antagonist here. This film was made on a budget of Rs 400 crore and is the most expensive Indian movie made till date and its set to release during Diwali

Baahubali 2

Baahubali was one of the biggest hits in 2015 all over India.
