Congress issues 103-point 'charge-sheet' against BJP government in Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR: Ahead of the second phase of polling in Chhattisgarh, the Congress on Sunday brought out a "charge-sheet" against the BJP government in Chhattisgarh alleging on broken promises, bad governance by the BJP as it nailed the ruling party on 103 different counts.

Releasing the booklet titled "#Yaad Hai Na..." the Chhattisgarh Congress state in-charge P L Punia labelled Raman Raj as "destructive for the people, thoroughly corrupt with no improvement on various growth parameters".

Citing Chhattisgarh among the richest states on per person resource availability in the country Chhattisgarh continues to be counted in the list of poor states owing to the anti-people policies of the BJP. The state has the maximum slums with the maximum disparity in the income found between the rich the poor.

"Among the 100 most backward districts (list of aspirations districts) the 10 districts of Chhattisgarh has been incorporated, including the region of Raman Singh's Rajnandgaon", the charge-sheet pointed out. The state government neither could get the Chhattisgarh public service commission examinations held on time not offered jobs to the lakhs of youths in the state.

The 'charge-sheet' stated that the despite immense possibilities in the state there was not a single concrete investment in the last 15 years. "The health facilities and availability of doctors remains pathetic- the state continues to suffer on both fronts. The education standard declining and the future of youths remains in dark. Besides the Raman Singh government took away all the rights of jal, jungle, jameen from the poor, tribals", it asserted.

"Going by the betrayal of promises by the BJP government, the entire election appears to be one-sided. We will win 15 of the 18 seats in the first phase. There is going to be unexpected results and the Congress will surely spring a surprise", Punia affirmed.
