HYDERABAD: As Congress is engrossed in building an anti-BJP front by wooing even arch rivals like TDP to its side, Congress senior leader and former Union Minister Veerappa Moily Wednesday said that the grand old party will build an alternative alliance to NDA and its president Rahul Gandhi will be the best PM material.
Congress senior politician from Karnataka, Veerappa Moily is camping in poll-bound Telangana, as he has been entrusted with the responsibility of dealing with party rebels and organise party’s campaign.
“Congress is succeeding in building an anti-BJP alliance at the national level. Several parties which allied with BJP are now leaving NDA. Congress will lead the anti-BJP alliance. Rahul Gandhi is the best PM material,” said Moily speaking in Hyderabad.
Moily also appreciated the efforts of TDP president and Andhra Pradesh CM, N Chandrababu Naidu, in bringing together all anti-BJP parties at national level. Congress has tied up with TDP in Telangana Assembly polls to take on the ruling TRS, surprising one and all. CPI and newly formed TJS are also one the side of INC. While forming an alliance helped Congress gain momentum, has also created rebels. Moily, who has been familiar with Telangana politics, has been entrusted the job of dealing with rebels by Cong High Command.
