AAP announces list of 20 candidates for Madhya Pradesh elections

BHOPAL: The Aam Admi Party (AAP) today announced a list of 20 more candidates for coming to Madhya Pradesh assembly elections.

With the declaration of its 12th list, the party has thus far announced 192 candidates.

State AAP President Alok Agrawal made the announcement in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, a party release issued here said.

Mr Agrawal said that Mr Singh would stay put in the state until polls and drum up support for party candidates.

He said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the principal-opposition Congress have failed to declare a single candidate thus far.

He claimed that the APP receiving widespread public support, as both the parties are allegedly neck deep in corruption. The results of coming elections would be surprising.

The list included names of Bhagwati Prasad (Mahidpur), Zakir Khan (Jaora), Chan Singh Sonrgara (Mandsaur), Ram Prakash Rajoria from (Morena), Mahendra Singh Jhala (Hatpipalia), Bhim Singh Chauhan (Jobat), Nirdosh Bhisen (Waraseoni), Maya Uike (Jamai), Dr Ramesh Chandra Bhilala (Timarni), Rajwant Singh (Chitrakoot), Santosh Kumar Raghuvanshi (Silvani), Vikram Singh Lauvanshi (Chachauda), Mukesh Tiwari (Sohagpur), Farsu Kaul (Jaisinghnagar), Alka Gond (Badwara), Shivnarayan Ahirwar (Berasia), Dinesh Raghuvanshi (Bamori), Vijay Ram (Guna), Rudra Pratap Sengar (Kolar) and Bhupendra Gurjar (Mehgaon).

On the occasion, the Bahujan Samaj Party's former district present Shivnarayan Ahirwar today joined the AAP. Mr Ahirwar is presently the district panchayat member from Ward No 9 in Berasia.

A few other BSP leaders joined the AAP along with him.
