KARIMNAGAR: THE TRS, BJP and Congress candidates contesting in Karimnagar have a lot at stake. With the fight tighter than ever, for TRS’ Gangula Kamalakar, BJP’s Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Congress’ Ponnam Prabhakar the elections are not only about winning the seat but also about making or breaking their political futures.
Considering that Bandi Sanjay Kumar has never held a position of power in any government so far, it is highly likely that his future in politics would become unstable if loses this year’s polls.
TRS MLA Gangula Kamalakar—who had won the 2009 and 2014 Assembly elections—on the other hand, has much to lose if he gets toppled off his seat. In addition to losing his credibility as an MLA, Kamalakar would most likely face friction from within the party as well. Meanwhile, some are claiming that Congress candidate Ponnam Prabhakar has not been employing proper strategies towards winning votes.
