Telangana elections: Is Bahujan Left Front hoping to win back its long lost brother?

The Front has announced 70 candidates and will be led by Sitaram Yechury.

HYDERABAD: The Bahujan Left Front (BLF), a coalition of four left parties -- CPI (M), BLP, MCPI, and T Lokasatta -- is mulling about winning back its long-time friend CPI before it sets out on aggressive campaign across the State. With Chadda Venkat Reddy threatening to step out of the grand alliance if it didn’t get enough seats, the BLF is all ready to accept its long-lost brother back into fold.
“We sailed with CPI all through this while and it would only be apt if the left parties unite to oppose the ruling establishment,” said a representative of CPI (M). The BLF, which was also looking to have Professor Kodandaram’s TJS to be part of it, will however be disappointed. The Front has announced 70 candidates and will be led by Sitaram Yechury.
