Congress, TDP hope for Patancheru ticket under Mahakutami seat sharing

Patancheru constituency is near Hyderabad and has been developed industrially and so, the Congress and TDP are competing for the ticket.

SANGAREDDY: Suspense still continues in Patancheru Assembly constituency as the Congress and TDP are hoping that the ticket would be allotted to them under the Mahakutami seat sharing.

TDP State president L Ramana is trying to build pressure on the Congress party for Patancheru ticket and is of the argument that their party representation is must in united Medak district. On the other side, DCC president Sunita Reddy and other leaders from Congress told the party high command that Congress party is strong in Patancheru constituency and the ticket should not be allotted to alliance partner.

It may be recalled that for the last four to five days, Mahakutami candidates have been waiting for the announcement. Though the leaders announced that the list of candidates would be announced on November 9, but since there was no settlement on the allotment of seats, it was getting postponed. 

TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy was scheduled to meet Rahul Gandhi on Monday and is alleged to have discussed seat sharing. However, the suspense will end after settling the seat sharing issue between the alliance partners. ZPTC member Srikanth Goud from TDP is pressurising the party for ticket as he had worked for the party in bad times and on the other side, the recently joined Nandishwar Goud is also expecting the ticket. It is learnt that Nandishwar Goud is trying for the ticket through Andhra Pradesh deputy CM KE Krishna Murthy. 

Nandishwar Goud and Srikanth Goud from Patancheru are hopeful of getting the ticket. TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao announced the Patancheru TRS ticket to Gudem Mahipal Reddy and later four senior leaders left the party in protest and joined the Congress. All these leaders who joined the Congress hope that at least any one of them gets the ticket.

Patancheru constituency is near Hyderabad and has been developed industrially and so, the Congress and TDP are competing for the ticket. The TRS leaders are also waiting for the decision on Patancheru constituency by Congress leaders.

It is learnt that after the announcement of the ticket, the TRS feels that the dissatisfied group would join TRS. However, all the parties are waiting for the decision of Congress leadership in Patancheru constituency.
