HYDERABAD: BJP State spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao on Tuesday lambasted the grand old party’s choice of candidates for the Assembly elections saying the nominees were not “true leaders”. The remark came a day after the Congress released its list of picks for the polls that could set the tone for the 2019 general elections.

“They are not real leaders. They don’t mingle with the people,” he said and alleged that the party was dancing to the tunes of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

“The Congress has handed over the self-respect of the people of Telangana to TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu,” Rao claimed and questioned if Naidu would be made Telangana’s Chief Minister if the Grand Alliance wrested power.

“If the TDP gets 10 out of 14 seats, will Chandrababu Naidu become the Chief Minister of the State?” he asked.
