‘Huge rally’ planned as KCR, Harish Rao to file nominations papers

According to party sources, no big rally has been planned for Wednesday’s filing of nomination as KCR is set to resume his election campaigns on Thursday with a huge public meeting in Gajwel.

SIDDIPET/HYDERABAD: The third day of nominations for December 7 Assembly elections will see two biggies of Telangana Rashtra Samithi — its supremo K Chandrasekhar and Siddipet stalwart T Harish Rao — filing their nomination papers on Wednesday.  The TRS chief KCR, along with five other leaders, will be filing his nomination papers in Gajwel around 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday. 

According to party sources, no big rally has been planned for Wednesday’s filing of nomination as KCR is set to resume his election campaigns on Thursday with a huge public meeting in Gajwel. 

Meanwhile, T Harish Rao, who is the Irrigation Minister in the caretaker government, will also offer a special pooja at Koinapally temple on Wednesday morning before the filing of nominations for Siddipet constituency.  Harish Rao is also expected to submit his nomination papers by 2.30 p.m. at Siddipet RDO office.

As many as 39 candidates from 34 constituencies filed nominations on the second day on Tuesday. 
Of them, 20 were Independents, 3 each from BJP,  BLP, New India Party, 2 from Pyramid Party of India, Shramajeevi Party,  and one each from TRS, BSP, Samajwadi Party, CPM, Naya Bharat party and All India Samara Party. 

A total of 87 nominations have been filed so far in last two days. In Hyderabad, four Independents filed nominations from Amberpet, Jubilee Hills, Khairtatabad and Secunderabad.
