Osmania University student leader Krishank decries allotment of ticket to father-in-law

Student leaders from Osmania University and Congress students wing NSUI are miffed with Congress since the high command has not named any of them in the first list of candidates.

HYDERABAD: Osmania University student leader and aspirant for the Secunderabad Cantonment Congress ticket, Krishank on Tuesday revolted against not just his party but against his own father-in-law Sarve Satyanarayana. Krishank had aspired for the Cantonment ticket and has been quite active in the constituency. However, instead of  Krishank, the high command has chosen Sarve Satyanarayana for the seat. Miffed at the development, Krishank protested at Gandhi Bhavan and announced that he would fight as a rebel. Krishank started his career as a student leader and rose to popularity during  the Telangana movement

“I’m not Sarve Satyanarayana’s son-in-law. I am Krishank. Congress ideology is ingrained in our blood. But unfortunately, not even one OU student leader has been given the ticket. I have worked in Cantonment over the past six months. How can party give a ticket to Sarve Satyanarayana who has been defeated thrice? I realise now that one needs to have a godfather in Congress to get a ticket. I’m fed up. I’ll contest as a rebel,” announced Krishank.
