KARIMNAGAR: Followers of senior TPCC leader Revanth Reddy, Ch Vijayaramana Rao and Medipalli Satyam, who left the TDP to join Congress, have successfully secured tickets for themselves. While Rao got the Peddapalli seat, Satyam will contest from Choppadandi.
However, another follower Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, an aspirant from Manakondur seat of Karimnagar, was disappointed. Party dissidents who opposed their candidature had earlier named them ‘parachute leaders’ for their shifting bases across parties.
As for Manakondur, former Congress MLA Arepalli Mohan and Satyanarayana fought for the seat which was finally given to Mohan. However, Satyanarayana said that the party high command has assured him justice once it comes to power. He will now work for Mohan’s victory in the constituency, he said.
Reddy has alleged that Congress has given the ticket to opportunistic Srinivas who did not hesitate to jump to YSRCP and BJP from Congress before timely, re-joining Congress once more.
In Sircilla, KK Mahender Reddy is aspiring for ticket. As for Husnabad, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, ex Congress MLA A Praveen Reddy are vying for a ticket from Grand Alliance.
