Congress and TDP in ‘unholy nexus’, says KTR

KTR, who is the IT Minister in caretaker government, addressed a public meeting after party candidate P Ravi filed his nomination papers in the Sathupalli constituency on Wednesday.  

KHAMMAM: Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s leader KT Rama Rao alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is creating obstructions in construction of Sri Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project in Bhadradrikothagudem district, which when completed will provide irrigation water to entire Sathupalli constituency.

KTR, who is the IT Minister in caretaker government, addressed a public meeting after party candidate P Ravi filed his nomination papers in the Sathupalli constituency on Wednesday. 

During his speech, KTR criticised the alliance between TDP and Congress, stating that “they are coming to the people with unholy nexus.”

The TRS leader alleged TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu wrote around 30 letters to the Centre seeking to stop the ongoing irrigation projects in Telangana. Urging Sathupalli people not to vote for TDP, he said: “If vote you vote for TDP candidate, it only benefit Chandrababu.”

Accusing Congress and TDP of resorting to opportunistic politics, and burying moral values and ethics, he  said: “During TDP’s rule in united Andhra Pradesh people who were agitating against power tariff hike at Basheerbagh were shot dead.”
